How to get here by Bus

To reach Pietralago, you can take bus line C30 from Como towards Nesso - Bellagio or bus line C31 from Como towards Torno - Palanzo.
Both lines stop close to San Giovanni Train Station and Como Lago FN Train Station in Como.

There’s several option for purchasing bus tickets:

  • Automatic Ticket Machines in front of the Train Stations

  • Main Ticket Office in front of Como Lago FN Station

  • Onboard the bus, with a surcharge on the regular fare

  • On-line via the ArrivaMyPay app

The buses run approximately every 30 minutes during most of the day and connect Como to Blevio in about 10 minutes.

SUGGESTION: Check the official Real Time Schedules and note that the last bus from Como to Blevio departs at approximately 8 p.m.
Keep in mind that during the high tourist season and weekends, buses might run late due to heavy traffic on the main road from Como to Bellagio.
Additionally, if the bus is full, the driver might not allow more passengers to board.

Route 1 on the map

Once on the bus, you can get off at the first stop after the third tunnel.
From there, you can reach the hamlet of Capovico by climbing a staircase of approximately 150 small steps.
Turn left, follow along the stone wall on your right, and then ascend towards the gate of the Pietralgo property.

Route 2 and 3 on the map

Alternatively, you can get off at the next stop, approximately 400 meters after the tunnel. On the right, there is a winding road that goes up the mountain.
If you enjoy the panoramic view of the lake, you can follow this road all the way (four hairpin turns) until you reach the Capovico parking lot.

If you prefer a faster route and don't mind the uphill climb, you can reach the same parking lot via a small but fairly steep staircase that begins at the first hairpin turn.
This staircase will take you to the top in 10 minutes. This route is suggested if you have light luggages with you.

From here continue along the uphill road. You will see a dark gray shutter on your left and after a few meters you’ll pass the metal barrier and you’ll enter the pedestrian village of Capovico, a historic and characteristic cluster of houses.

Please try to keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing the residents.

Continue for approximately 70 meters until you find a small staircase made of stones, consisting of about 6 steps, descending on the right.

Follow the staircase and at the end, turn right, where you will see a magnificent view of Lake Como and the sign for Pietralago, indicating the way to the entrance gate.

Once you’re here, please call us, and we’ll be there in a few minutes to welcome you and provide access to the property (our phone number is +393519766359)
